Hi, my name is Paul Rando. I’m the owner, developer, and coffee barista at Rando Solutions. I currently reside just outside of Boston, MA.
When I’m not writing code I enjoy spending time with my family. I have three children, that make me the proudest dad there is. They turn the house upside down, but I wouldn’t change a thing. I can’t forget my wife, who is the glue that keeps everything functioning around here. In fact, you wouldn’t find Rando Solutions without her, who played a huge role in it coming together. She helped me think through the process and make the decision to fulfill this goal.
Enough with the sappy stuff…
So, if I had to describe ‘what type of developer’ I am – I would say I am a full-stack Java developer. Throughout the years, I have worked on a variety of stacks, programming, and procedural languages, such as:
- Java
- Python
- C# / WPF
- JavaScript
- Node.js
- MVC / Vue.js / backbone.js
- SQL
These are the languages and technologies I frequent, and enjoy developing on. However, I am always open to learning and enjoying other technologies.
Other areas of expertise
- Software architecture and designs.
- Performance troubleshooting, isolation, and tuning is an area of expertise of mine.
- I enjoy tackling hard to find problems where a application is performing slowly, but there is no clear indication of where, or why.
- Systems and process automation.
